Frugal tip....Have a minor clog in the sink? Pour a packet of yeast down the drain and follow with a little hot water. Also, need to wash your husbands cap but don't want it to come out looking crinkled and wrinkled so then you SPEND money getting him new ones? Throw it in the dishwasher! Works wonderfully! Instead of buying expensive carpet cleaners I also spot clean my rugs with about 1/4 cup(for the whole carpet) of laundry detergent. Everyone always has laundry detergent and it leaves the room smelling good and cleans great! The best I have used is Arm and Hammer laundry detergent! Thanks Fab Free for your great site! <3 you!
Frugal tip: use rewards programs associated with your credit card (as long as you are able to pay off your card regularly) Getting gift cards with our points is how we got many presents for people this year.
oops, had to delete upper comment so u can id me w/ rafflecopter:) I shop after-Christmas sales to stock up for christmas the following year:) I'm anne on rafflecopter
frugal tip from couponfreestuff make sure before you head out to shop at cvs, walgreen, target or dollar general, to go to their websites and print store coupons you can stack with your manufacturers coupons for awesome prices or even freebies!
We always use coupons if we can find them. We only buy items when our stock is running low or if it is an offer too good to pass up. Facebook- Ashley turicik
My Tip: When having a baby check out craigs list and other places before buying brand new. Baby stuff is always brand new for the most part even when used! sleatherberry@gmail.com
One tip that works for us is to get creative with gift wrapping. For example, you can use comic book pages, magazine pages, paper bags, maps, etc for gift wrap. This works not only for Christmas but for birthdays or any occasion when you have to wrap a gift. dahbou at gmail dot com
my frugal tip: if you purchase from a store frequently or have a large purchase planned, look on ebay for giftcards! you can often score them for 20% off and they can be paired with coupons.
Invest in a smart phone and download money making apps. I keep my kids entertained while at the grocery store by giving them the phone to scan for items to get points. I later redeem the points for giftcards. The following app is one of my favorites.

If you would like to start off with some extra points you are welcome to use the code "twinkies25"
Frugal tip : Save all your butter plastic containers/cottage cheese...e.ct....cheaper the Rubbermaid and you are helping the enviroment at the same time
My frugal tip is kids grow so fast I buy a lot of their clothes second hand off e-bay,craigslist, thrift stores and garage sales! I pay pennies on the dollar for clothing!
When shopping online, always search for a coupon. I go to retailmenot and usually find something for a discount. Shop at a Moms to Moms sale for baby items like exersaucers, swings, cribs, etc. Even as Grandparents for seconds on items. Most churches or schools host them. If not, research it and start one in your community. Charge $20 to rent a table, $1 entrance fee and donate that money to the facility.
Get involved with Swagbucks also!!! You get bucks just for searching the internet and a lot of other things. They add up quickly and you can redeem stuff with swagbucks..my fave is the gift cards!
Shop at places like Aldi, everything is so much cheaper and you can stock up on staples. Also stock up on items after holidays, they sell tissues and other household items for cheap just because they have baubles and other themed packaging.
Frugal tip. When you see a great deal for a store like Albertsons in your mail, take it to walmart and have it price matched. You save gas for not having to shop at two places plus money on the item you want.
My tip would be to simply watch ads and compare them with what coupons you have. It's not too hard to score free, or almost free, items especially at Walmart and Walgreens :)
I'm ANNE on raffecopter: my tip is to cook recipes throughout the week that use the same ingredients (so those ingredients don't go to waste). annejk112233(at)yahoo(dot)com
when shopping online, go first through ebates.com or shopathome.com, they offer a cash back percentage on your purchase, and often have discount codes to also use on many popular retail stores. For example today, they just posted 4% cash back on ebates for Kohl's, plus coupon code HAPPYNY15 for 15% off your entire purchase!
I freeze leftovers and keep a list of them on the freezer door. If we leave leftovers in the fridge they tend to go bad before anyone eats them. This saves us $ because we don't have to eat out on busy nights.
I used to spend quite a few dollars on cleaning supplies until /i wised up and started making my own. For example, a toilet bowl cleaner can be made by mixing ¼ cup of baking soda with 1 cup of vinegar. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so and scrub it with a brush. This will both clean and deodorize.
I don't take my husband grocery shopping because it buys things I don't have coupons for...its cheaper to keep him at home! Also, I make the menu for the month so we know exactly what we are eating. rebeccaw2005 at gmail dot com
That's funny about leaving your husband home, Rebecca:) And, it's so true:) My tip: I look through those mailed coupon magazines for restaurant coupons and only clip for those coupons for restaurants we always eat at (and keep coupons in car so their available)
compare the price of name brand products with coupons to store prices. Many times brand name stuff is cheaper with a sale and a coupon than generic stuff!

frugal tip, use a foam soap dispenser and put half regular soap and half water to stretch your soap. i've even put 1/4 soap and 2/3 water and it still work great
Frugal Tip: I read a study (I wish I remembered the names!) that revealed that the more frequently you go to the store the more you spend--even if you have shopping lists and use coupons and manager's sales. The more frugal approach is to do larger shopping trips less frequently. *This was about "regular" shoppers. Obviously, some couponers may have different methods.
buy ahead on holidays and birthday when stuff in on clearance or really good prices. especially food you use all the time even if you just buy an extra can or two.
I use vinegar as my household cleaner. My husband hates the smell, so I put orange peels in a jar of vinegar and let it set for a while and voila! I have orange cleaner!
Always research large purchases you may get a great deal that in the long term was a mistake, instead of spending just a little bit more on a product that will last twice as long and work better.
